Kurtis J. Hallgren, DVM, CVSMT

Veterinarian

Dr. Kurt Hallgren grew up in Niagara, Wisconsin on a small beef and sheep farm.  He attended UW River Falls for his undergraduate degree in Animal Science, and graduated from the UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  Dr. Kurt has practiced both large and small animal medicine during his career as a veterinarian and enjoys surgical cases. In 2016, Dr. Kurt completed training to become certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (VSMT) at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Sturtevant, WI. The Healing Oasis is one of only three accredited schools in the country that teach and certify in VSMT. He also passed the International Competency Examination to become a member of the College of Animal Chiropractic. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kurt has a family of 3. His family also includes 4 Labrador Retrievers named Early, Ramsy, Granite & RoJr. For added fun, he also has Jerry his Airedale Terrier, Razz the ball python, Marsha the rabbit and a coop full of chickens. William J. Kunde, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Bill Kunde is a native of Oshkosh Wisconsin where he completed is undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984.  Dr. Bill has a special interest in cat and dog teeth cleaning, internal medicine and reptile medicine and surgery.  Dr. Bill and his wife Peggy have been married for 40 years and have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. The family also includes 4 dogs, 7 cats, a cockatoo and an African Grey Parrot.  Dr. Bill is an avid upland bird hunter and is a committee member of the North East Wisconsin chapter of the Ruff Grouse Society.  Contact Dr. Bill at information@tcvcmarinette.com

Dr. Stephanie Kuhle-Riewe, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Stephanie Kuhle-Riewe graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison-School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2014. She completed her undergraduate studies at Iowa Sate University in Ames, IA. Originally from Des Moines, IA she grew up with a wide array of family pets including a pot belly pig (Wilbur), guinea pig (Spot), cockatiel (Tweety), amazon parrot (Max), cats (Kiki, Jamba, and Gevea), Maltese (Cupid), and beloved Dachshund (Scarlett). Her studies lead her to pursue an internship at a Wisconsin family dairy farm in 2007. She fell in love with Wisconsin and has stayed ever since. She lives in Oconto with her husband Kenny, their son Wyatt, their daughter Riley, and dog Duke.

Dr. Kuhle-Riewe feels very fortunate to have her lifelong dreams of helping animals realized. She looks forward to building great relationships with her clients and their families. She has a great love for all animals and understands the awesome bond between people and their pets.

Outside of work she enjoys playing with her two children, walks with Duke, swimming, reading, helping with farm chores, and relaxing at home with family and friends.

Dr. Sara Burk, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Sara Burk grew up in Two Rivers, WI and completed her undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.  She then graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.

Dr. Burk enjoyed raising three children while practicing small animal medicine for the first 24+ years of her career in the Fox Valley area. She particularly enjoys internal medicine, behavior, and feline practice.

Outside of work, Dr. Burk enjoys spending time with her husband Sam, their dogs, camping, hiking, kayaking, gardening, and crafting.

Our caring and very experienced staff is ready to assist you with all your veterinary needs.  We are confident your pets will receive the best care possible.  Our team consists of several departments.

Hospital Attendant

Our hospital attendant is Ann. She is great with animals and will care for your pet while they are here or while recovering from an illness or surgical procedure that requires hospitalization.  She keeps the cages clean and makes sure every pet has food, water, and exercise.  Ann is assisted on the weekends and after hours by a very caring and capable group of young people.

Client Care Specialists

Our team of client care specialists are Danielle,  Morgan, Bailey, Tara, Haddie and Carlee. They will take care of you when you check in for an appointment and help you when your appointment is over.  They will be glad to answer any questions you may have concerning your medications or your invoice.

Surgical Assistants

Our surgical assistants are Allison, Danielle, Kortney and Ben. They will be monitoring your pet during surgery and will be with them during recovery. They will also give your pet a bright clean smile when they are here for a dental cleaning.

Laboratory Assistants

Our laboratory assistants are Dawn and Nancy. They run our in house laboratory.  Our laboratory equipment allows them the ability to run just about any test that the doctor may require for a diagnosis.  They also prepare samples to send to our commercial veterinary labs for specialized diagnostics.

Veterinary Assistants

Our veterinary assistants are Sara, Dawn and Sophie. They help our doctors in the exam rooms.  They record and complete the medical records and have exceptional nursing skills.  They also assist our team of veterinarians in the treatment area before, after and in between appointments.

Dr Bill, Dr Kim and Dr Kurt and staff are amazing, dedicated furry kid doctors. You are in good hands here!
